And before you all come for me with: “Do you even know what a mayor does?” “Is he YOUR Mayor/MLA?” “Why are you invested — did a meme bring you here?” Please. Relax. Breathe. No, this is not a “he’s cute” crush. This is a communication-strategy-branding-content-engineering crush. The kind that hits only when someone has cracked the code to making politics feel human, relatable, and weirdly binge-watchable. Also you can't just tell me he doesn't give Mayor Paul Vibes(Ginny & Georgia) I’m here because this campaign is an absolute case study , and for once…keep your pre-conceived notions aside...just once… hear me out. 1. The Relatability Blueprint (aka: Why He Feels Like “One of Us”) Let’s start with the obvious: Over 36% of NYC’s population is between 18–34 , making young voters o...

Hey there people, super glad if even one of you reads this, and to all those who have recently been added to my profile, Isha used to write, she used to read a lot of books, and had a lot of fun doing all of it. Ok let's start like this, one fine evening, a good cozy weekend evening when I was chilling and watching "As Good as it gets"(Amazing movie btw 100/100, do watch) A friend came over, and in the middle of all our random chatter, he hit me with "So what do you do beside work and getting stressed about it??" It took me 15 seconds and a lot of thought to admit it — I used to write. “Oh, that’s great! Why don’t you anymore?” he asked. I didn’t really have an answer The only time words failed me,  The answer maybe is!!!! that Life happened. Got caught up...

THE FAULT IN OUR STARS:Book review

Image
I picked up this book because it was super hyped and (come on it is a love story of two teenagers how special could it be!!) These were my initial thoughts on it until I started reading... Thank you John Green you are truly an amazing writer and you can bring any fictional character to life The narrator of this book is Hazel Grace a 16-year-old typical teenager who is always anxious, always complaining about the system of the world and an unextraordinary person (as she claims!! but both I and Gus refuse to agree) She was diagnosed with cancer when she was 13 and her entire teen life or just her life in all, runs on a drug named Phalanxifor, she has to carry an oxygen cylinder always which mainly contributes to being one of the biggest reasons why hates going out and being looked at differently.  One such event in her life is going to the support group where she had to sit among children and teenagers who have/had cancer and listen to how similar but differently shitty their lives w...

THE LAST LECTURE- Randy Pausch, Jeffrey Zaslow : Book review

Image
This is one of those genres I don't particularly read....Biographies. They do teach you a lot... But this book has changed my opinion on the genre rather on my life..

AND THEN THERE WERE NONE- BOOK REVIEW

Image
One of my favorite genres... murder mystery/thriller , one of my favorite authors of all times Agatha Christie ,One of my favorite books I can say for sure And then there were none  ....believe me once you start it there is no going back, you will be restless until you finish the book and until you finally get answers to all your  Whys??  The book starts off with a nursery rhyme "Ten little soldier boys went out to dine; One choked his little self and then there were Nine. Nine little soldier boys sat up very late; One overslept himself and then there were Eight. Eight little soldier boys traveling in Devon; One said he'd stay there and then there were Seven. Seven little soldier boys chopping up sticks; One chopped himself in halves and then there were Six. Six little soldier boys playing with a hive; A bumblebee stung one and then there were Five. Five little soldier boys going in for law; One got in Chancery and then there were Four. Four little soldier boys going out ...

The Subtle Art of Not Giving A F*ck - Book review

Image
Let me start by explaining what counterintuitive exactly means, it is an idea that is contradictory to something that we believe logically or reasonably. Mark Mason is a blogger and a good one I must agree...I didn't know about him until I read this book...but dude his blogs are awesome you must surely check it out! The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck is a self-help guide, not the traditional one for sure... it is written in a very unconventional manner.. it has a very casual tone to it..more like you are talking to a person next door named Mark who is supposedly a self-help blogger...This is also one of the reasons this book comes across some negative reviews...The other one being, that everyone is driven by different paths as far as a life approach is concerned  I am that kind of a person who feels motivated when someone puts a mirror in front of me and tells me what is wrong with things I might have done...or Constructive Criticism to put it in better words, And this book surely...

I really Wish I could tell you.....ohh I just did!!!

(They say don't judge a book by its cover but if the cover is this beautiful let's take a moment to appreciate it.)  Let me start by accepting the fact that I am a huge Durjoy Datta fan...but this is an honest review and I have tried to not be prejudiced towards it. Also, its fun to read a Hindi/desi(as they say) author and not have those alien names thrown to your face right away. The story mainly twirls around two youngsters having different perspective over life and two totally different past experiences but however, they end up in the same spot in the end. Ananth Khatri, a sweet innocent person who derives pleasure by helping a person in need. On the other hand, is Anusha Sardana a girl with a rough & painful past which leads her to think that the whole world is full of selfish people who will remain in your lives until their purpose is served. Anusha is an artist, a writer...she started developing a story but lacked a character with personality... Both these characte...
