I really Wish I could tell you.....ohh I just did!!!

(They say don't judge a book by its cover but if the cover is this beautiful let's take a moment to appreciate it.)

Let me start by accepting the fact that I am a huge Durjoy Datta fan...but this is an honest review and I have tried to not be prejudiced towards it. Also, its fun to read a Hindi/desi(as they say) author and not have those alien names thrown to your face right away.

The story mainly twirls around two youngsters having different perspective over life and two totally different past experiences but however, they end up in the same spot in the end.

Ananth Khatri, a sweet innocent person who derives pleasure by helping a person in need. On the other hand, is Anusha Sardana a girl with a rough & painful past which leads her to think that the whole world is full of selfish people who will remain in your lives until their purpose is served. Anusha is an artist, a writer...she started developing a story but lacked a character with personality...
Both these characters work at Wedonate-An online platform that helps spread awareness, raises funds for various people, and helps the person in need.

The story starts when both these characters are placed in contrast fields of work. Ananth, who is sensitive and affectionate towards people is a part of the entertainment team whereas...Anusha is appointed to write articles for the medical...but as they say everything happens for a reason. They are given a  project that changes the way they think that gives a totally different approach towards life.
Mohini Anusha comes across a case that needs to get funds and is under-marketed by the Wedonate team. She digs deeper into that profile and instantly feels a connection with a handsome young man Gautam, suffering from a brain tumor.. his parents surviving through a very difficult situation...seeing their young & free-spirited son, bedridden is really difficult.
She finds herself between real and fake, reality with misunderstanding, virtual and physical.

Wish I could tell you; speaks about internet trolling, more specifically it tells that a different story runs behind the digital screen that you see... firstly, it was said that " Believe in what you see"...but now the in this era of social media influence the saying changes to" Know the story behind what you see...learn the context of the statements, know the person, the reason behind it."

In those initial pages, Durjoy Datta lets you believe that the story is predictable, a conventional romantic novel, cliche` storyline where opposite attract and eventually fall in love and all. But the way Durjoy unfolds the story I really wish I could tell you that... but I don't want to steal the thunder of this amazingly written piece of art.
It is a romance novel but the romance in this book is so subtle and unconventional. Durjoy Datta builds extremely strong characters and not just moments of love.

There are cuss words and use of strong language in a very small part of the book but it's just to emphasize certain emotions a character goes through and also(hum konse dudh ke dhule hai!!!)
Certain things that could be avoided were some unnecessary character build-ups like Mohini's first crush...
And also that the plot twist was a sudden boom, it took me 2-3 pages to figure out what had actually happened...but it could be me...(read the book and let me know in the comment section below.)

The book ends with a line" She saved him, and in his own little way he saved her" (you'll get the context once you read it)
This is one of those books that adds value to lives, your approach, and not just words to your vocabulary...
It is written in a very simple language and is yet stains your memory forever.
If you are a beginner totally go for it, or even  if you just love reading it is a great option to go with

Stay safe, stay home.
